The Steve Jobs Photoshop Contest that Gizmodo held over the weekend is over. I have to say, the entries are quite impressive and worth at least one look through the gallery. Beware, some of them are a little disturbing, and depending on your place of employment, NSFW. No one sent me any emails of their entries so I guess I get to blow money on someone more important, me! Gizmodo is having another one of their Photoshop contests. Apple man-in-charge Steve Jobs will be the subject for this one. Here is how you can participate:
Simply create a masterwork featuring his Steveness in either the most evil light possible or the best light possible, then email your final piece to contests@gizmodo.com with the subject line of "Steve Jobs Chop" and with the filename being of the format "FirstName_LastName.jpg." Don’t screw this up; if you don’t use the proper email formatting we might not see your email. You have through the weekend to do your work and get it in, then early next week the Gallery of Champions will go up for all to see.
There is no prize mentioned besides the pride of joining the "Gallery of Champions". But, if you participate, and sneak in something entertaining from M Dashboard, I will not only match the prestigious honor Giz will bestow upon you, but I will honor the best entry with something from Think Geek worth your efforts. $14k to Help Design LG’s New Touchscreen UI

Korea’s LG is offering a 14 million Korean Won prize ($14,364) to help it’s team of designers create a new user interface for their future touchscreen offerings. They will be working on this internally as well, so get a move on and create a UI theme their engineers can use before you miss out on prize money. [Gizmodo]
EDIT: This contest is actually already over. 10 designs were selected to be made functional with LG’s future touchscreen offerings. Apparently, the ridiculous car theme pictured is one of them. Hope the other nine are better.
Win Some Tokyoflash

For those of you who are into watches, unique Japanese designs in particular, you have probably stumbled upon Tokyoflash at some point. These watches often look like they can do a million other things besides display the time; this is where the contest comes into play. Here is how you get in:
You tell me what you think any one of the Tokyoflash watches would be able to do in an alternate universe, and the people with the three best answers will get a free Tokyoflash watch!
For example, I’m pretty sure the Shinshoku (shown above) can double as a Chinese Checkers board. And one of those has to be an alien ship. Winners will be picked by a contest crew in Tokyo a week from now. You can submit your responses to mango@tokyoflash.com.
