Great South Park Last Night!
April 17, 2008 Category: Entertainment No Comments »
For those of you who are like me and definitely showing signs of internet addiction, I hope you were tuned into Comedy Central last night for a hilarious episode of South Park poking fun at our ‘problem’. Here’s the South Park Studios cameo:
One day the citizens of South Park wake up and find the internet is gone. When Randy hears there may still be some internet out in California, he packs up his family and heads west.
"Over Logging" really provided some good jokes on all sorts of internet users, the best being Randy’s portrayal of the porn addict. (Hope I didn’t ruin too much) Anywho, hit the link above to watch the streaming video of the episode, or watch Comedy Central in the late evening for the next week and you are bound to catch a rerun.
Next Star Wars Trailer Leaked
April 14, 2008 Category: Entertainment No Comments »
Old news to some I’m sure, but the next movie to come from the Star Wars camp will be animated. Slated for release on August 15, the movie is supposed to be the beginning of a new animated series that is set to air on Cartoon Network and TNT this fall. There are 30 episodes that have been created to so far, entailing the time between Episode’s II and III of the ‘real’ movies. Being the long-time Star Wars fan I am, I’m sure I will find a rainy day in August, if not opening night, to catch this new animated flick. Hit the jump to catch a leaked trailer.
Did South Park Live Up to Last Week’s Episode?
April 10, 2008 Category: Entertainment No Comments »
If you didn’t catch the fifth installment in Season 12 of South Park last night, you should definitely head over to South Park Zone and watch the episode. Mr./Mrs. Garrison and Cartman have the main roles in this episode, and live up to their usual characters. I don’t think it was as good as last week’s episode, but Cartman as a teacher and Garrison wanting to be a man again still makes for a good episode. Hit the link above, or catch the rerun on Comedy Central.
South Park Season 12 Still Great After 4 Episodes
April 2, 2008 Category: Entertainment 1 Comment »
The fourth episode in Season 12 of South Park was great. Lots of classic South Park roots in tonight’s show, along with some hilarious pop culture jokes. This may be the biggest rip on Canada Matt and Trey have come up with yet. Hope you all enjoyed "Canada on Strike" as much as I did. If you missed it, you can expect the episode to air again on Comedy Central sometime in the next week. (Night time is a good time to tune in)

On April 6, the Wisconsin Film Festival will show a documentary on the history of the Mac from its inception to the present. Dubbed “Welcome to Macintosh”, the film looks to be very interesting. Check out the trailers, the second one after the jump, and see if you are as intrigued as I am. [TUAW > Welcome to Macintosh]

Washington Approves Sirius and XM Merger
March 24, 2008 Category: Entertainment, Technology 1 Comment »
The Antitrust division of the Department of Justice has just approved the 5 billion USD deal to merge satellite radio services XM and Sirius. Over a year after the two announced their plans to combine resources, the DOJ has decided the deal will most likely not harm consumers by essentially eliminating competition. I have been a Sirius listener for two months now, and I look forward to the addition of new content, provided there are no rate increases. As for hardware, there are no reports out there that say existing equipment will be capable of being updated, so this may be an SOL kind of situation. However, I would be surprised if both companies don’t offer some sort of discount or incentives for existing customers. Official DOJ statement after the jump. [Engadget]
Futurama Lego Goodness

After last night’s Futurama new episode, which is only the movie that was already released on DVD, this Lego build could not be more appropriate. Although the date true new episodes, those coming after the already completed movies that will be aired on Comedy Central, is still unsure, the other three movies that have not been released will just have to do for now. Yay Futurama lives on! Follow the link for the 24 picture gallery. [Giz]
South Park: Season 12 is Here
March 13, 2008 Category: Entertainment No Comments »
Last night, on Comedy Central, was the premier for season 12 of the hit cartoon series South Park. The first episode, “Tonsil Trouble”, was wonderful! It was the old school-style episode that followers, like myself, have been clamoring for. The episode starts with a botched operation to remove Cartman’s tonsils, which he contracted aids. Cartman does his usual put himself in the spotlight routine, and it really makes for a classic South Park episode. I have the video at home, and will put it up this evening for those of you who missed the show and can’t wait to see it. Be sure to catch the newest episode next Wednesday at 10/9C on Comedy Central.
Wall•e Trailer

Oh Pixar, how you continue to draw in the older crowd always amazes me. I have always been amazed how animated movies, which Pixar brought to the world with movies like Toy Story and A Bug’s Life, have been able to go beyond children, and captive older audiences as well. Basically, at this point in my life, I enjoy the movies, and they are much more fun to watch with your girlfriend than a chick flick. Anyway, check out the full length trailer that finally sheds more light onto the movie previews I saw all winter. (Sorry it’s all stretched out, but I could not set the dimensions without ruining other videos on the site)
