powerT I don’t know what it is, but it seems that every time I go to find the tip-off for my Vols, it just does not want to make itself available. Either, the Internet hates me, or my Google search skills have really fallen off-kilter. Anyway, Bruce Pearl and the boys (#2) are set for Round Three action in Charlotte, NC at about 10PM EST against Louisville (#3). Follow the link for the rest of the schedule. [CBS Sports]

Vols Clinch SEC!

My Tennessee Volunteers clinched the Southeastern Conference title for the first time in 38 years last night with a comeback victory against the Florida Gators. The 89-86 victory came after the Vols rallied from a 16 point deficit in the first half. The team plays the South Carolina Gamecocks, in their last game of the regular season, at 2 PM EST on Sunday in Thompson-Boling Arena. How ’bout them Vols!

It’s Monday…

Well I have returned from an exciting weekend in Knoxville, in good form as usual.  Two nights of the the SAE Boxing tournament was worth the trip right there.  Our now three-time champion, Hall of Fame boxer, Wyatt Thornhill god, won by decision in three rounds.  Here is an article I found on him in the Tennessee Journalist while looking for a video of the fight.  It is only a minor glance into the life of this crazy SOB.  If you ever have the opportunity to see this man’s workouts and strict diet, you will bow down to true character and dedication.  Moving on, my weekend finished up with the Alpha Chi Omega paintball tournament on Sunday.  Of course we got rocked, but it was a beautiful day and I had a great time.  Now it is Monday and life sucks again.  Hopefully, I can come across some video of the fights.  Weekend countdown at 4.5 days and counting…

It’s Great to be a Tennessee Vol!

powerT The University of Tennessee Volunteers have defeated the previously undefeated Memphis Tigers at Memphis. Final score 66-62. The win not only secures bragging rights, but on Monday, will be the first time UT Men’s Basketball will be ranked #1 in the country in NCAA Division I Men’s Basketball. Go Vols!

Quick Update

Blogging software update.

Windows Live Writer has been enjoyable to use so far albeit the usual Windows user experience I have been moving away from with my transition to Mac. There are a lot of arrangement features I like; as well as its page editting abilities.

ScribeFire is a very simple editor. I like that it is crossplatform by using Firebox, but I really do not care to use Firefox for Mac anymore after looking at the upcoming Firefox 3 betas. A little bias for this one. However, I believe that because I can use it at work, I will be able to give it a fair assessment.

ecto is taking some getting used to. I will probably be using this more tonight to see what it can do.

Stay tuned for the updates to come. -Matt
