Alabama Twister

Well I have survived my first tornado while in Alabama. One touched down early this morning in the east side of Lawrence County. However, I thankfully live towards the northwest of Lawrence, in the city of Florence. The tornado was part of a storm system that has taken at least 44 lives as it passed through Tennessee, Arkansas and Kentucky; there are still more to be added from Alabama. The morning news showed images of rescue crews responding to damaged homes and blocked roads. As I drove to work, there was no sign of any damage. It was definitely good to see the sun. [AL.com]
